Incredible Dream is a modern game studio on a quest to bring people to the table through shared adventure. We’re a team of folk who’re passionate about games and building the next generation of characters, worlds, and stories. We’re looking for a Head of Marketing (reporting to CEO) to shape our brand identity and relationships. You’ll do this with each campaign, across multiple channels (B2C & B2B) and all relevant platforms.

Incredible Dream Studios is a fully remote company with team members working from Los Angeles, Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Warsaw, and more!

What will you be doing?

  • Develop and drive campaigns (mainly online, on owned and 3rd party channels) for consumer-facing product launches and brand-level initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, developing go-to-market plans, drafting creative briefs, sourcing creatives and agencies, coordinating & tracking campaign assets, measuring community sentiment, and assessing campaign performance.

  • Develop and drive our specialty retailer and cafe programs, to cultivate long-lasting relationships and support the success of our partners.

  • Nurture a culture of audience empathy, curiosity, and creative experimentation as we develop our brand identity and positioning.

  • Manage the marketing department and customer service. Develop personnel to their full potential.

  • Advise on market strategy and weigh in on touch points with consumers, retailers, and media.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Make your mark on the brand and strategy of a young consumer and media startup that’s building dedicated fan communities.

  • Grow with the company and rapidly take on broader responsibilities as a key part of our leadership team. Help us establish best-in-class practices around branding, product marketing, channel management (including crowdfunding, D2C e-commerce, and retail), media spend, and community.

  • Be seriously heard on making calculated bets and thinking differently.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience as a marketing manager, with a preference for experience in games or comics.

  • The strong organizational skills and systems of one who has executed several campaigns “soup to nuts” in a scrappy, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Expertise in digital marketing (e.g. social media strategy, influencer marketing, emails, etc.), especially as it relates to gaming and nerd culture.

  • Analytical-minded but not “analytical-trapped”. You keep an eagle eye on KPIs to inform strategies for acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention. You also seek out culture and community first-hand, to build conviction on what the numbers can’t show.

  • Palpable enthusiasm for the board game community, the health of the industry, and our mission.

  • Travel as required to events, conferences, and meetings (estimated <10% of the time).

  • Entrepreneurial, results-oriented approach. We’re not looking for Machiavellians– we’re looking for people who can problem-solve, collaborate, work through ambiguity, and wear multiple hats as needed to achieve goals as a team.

  • Someone well-adapted to fully-remote work: self-manages, reliable/responsible, independently overcomes obstacles, clear and considerate peer communication, and habitually inclined toward being proactive.

  • Fluency in English and modern personal technology (personal computers, mobile devices, google suite or MS Office, email, messaging, etc). Aptitude to learn new online tools as required.
